What to clarify before you commit

A sourcing brief that starts with your product

Product references, target quantity, specifications, budget and destination help clarify what needs supplier or sample support.

Clear checkpoints before you commit

Supplier questions, samples, inspection requirements and commercial approvals are separated so you can decide what to do next.

Freight planning when cargo is ready

Receiving, consolidation and route inputs are added only after the product, supplier and cargo scope are clear.

Start here

Start with the stage your order is in

Choose sourcing support when you need to clarify the product or supplier before cargo is ready. Choose freight coordination when your suppliers and goods are already confirmed.

I need product or supplier support

You have a product idea, listing link or specification, and need the next sourcing, sample or inspection step clarified before a shipment can be planned.

  • Product requirements and supplier questions organised
  • Sample, inspection and production checkpoints scoped in writing
  • Freight planning added once suppliers and cargo are ready

Send us: a link, image or specification, plus your target quantity and destination.

Category, quantity, requested checks and responsibility boundaries are confirmed before work is accepted.

I already have suppliers and cargo to ship

You already buy from 1688 sellers or your own factories, and need a China-side freight plan for confirmed cargo.

  • Pickup, cargo and receiving scope reviewed first
  • Consolidation and packing considered for the confirmed route
  • Mode, export documents and Incoterm responsibilities documented

Send us: supplier count, carton estimate or dimensions, cargo type and destination.

Cargo eligibility, documents, receiving location and route availability are confirmed before acceptance.

An example sourcing workflow

For apparel requests, begin with the product brief.

Use the sourcing path to clarify fabrics, trims, fit, samples and production checks before a shipment plan is considered. Availability and the final scope are confirmed for each request.

Garment production workspace
From specification to a clearer next step.
  • Fabric, trim, fit and packaging inputs captured for sampling
  • Sample feedback recorded before production approval
  • Inspection, handoff and freight requirements agreed before booking

A documented sourcing workflow

What a practical sourcing plan needs to show.

A useful first response is more than a supplier name or a price. It should separate the product brief, questions to resolve, approval points and the services that still need confirmation.

Review the sourcing process

Verify before commitment

What to verify before you commit to a supplier, sample or shipment

  • Match the legal entity, contract, payee and responsible contact.
  • Confirm what YunLink, the supplier and any logistics partner is responsible for.
  • Record the evidence and approval points expected at every handoff.

Those checks make the working scope easier to review before a payment, sample request, inspection booking or shipment release.

FAQ

Questions to settle before you start

What does YunLink actually do for me?

YunLink starts with product and supplier support when an order is not ready to ship. Share a product reference, requirements and target quantity so the supplier, sample, inspection and freight questions can be separated into a practical next step. Freight coordination remains available for buyers with confirmed suppliers and cargo.

What do you need for a sourcing request?

Start with a product link, image or specification, your target quantity, destination and current stage. A budget range, target market, sample needs, inspection needs and expected order date help identify the information that still needs confirmation.

Can you help if I only have a product idea or listing?

Yes. Use the sourcing request to share a reference and the outcome you want. The request is reviewed against the category, specification detail and support needed before any supplier, sample or paid work is accepted.

Do you buy or pay suppliers on my behalf?

Payment, contract, supplier relationship and responsibility boundaries must be confirmed in writing for the individual request. Do not assume that a sourcing request authorizes YunLink to place an order, receive funds or act as the buyer of record.

Can samples and inspection be included?

They can be considered when the product, supplier access, requested checks and destination are reviewed. The sample, inspection and reporting scope is agreed before any booking or onward delivery is arranged.

How are sourcing and related costs shown?

Product cost, sourcing support, samples, inspection, domestic handling, freight, taxes and destination charges are separate cost components where they apply. Ask for the included work, exclusions and payee in writing before authorising work.

Can you help when I already have suppliers?

Yes. Use the freight request for confirmed suppliers and cargo. Pickup, dimensions, handling, destination, route and documentation requirements are reviewed before a consolidation or shipping quote is offered.

What products need additional review?

Batteries, liquids, powder, chemicals, magnets, medical items, branded goods and other regulated or route-sensitive goods need eligibility and documentation checks before acceptance. Do not ship or send samples until the relevant scope is confirmed in writing.

Need help moving a product idea into a clear plan?

Share your product reference, target quantity and current stage. We use the details to clarify the supplier, sample, inspection and shipping support that may fit your request.

The service scope, fee basis and responsibilities are confirmed for the individual request before work begins.
