Freight service and quote guide

Know what shapes a China freight quote

A freight quote is only useful when the cargo, route, handling and responsibility assumptions are clear. Use this guide before suppliers send goods to a China-side location.

Choose the right path

Start from the stage your order is in

Separating freight coordination from sourcing or inspection work makes the quote basis easier to review.

Freight coordination

I have suppliers and cargo to ship

Share the supplier count, pickup city, cargo facts and destination. The freight review starts with receiving, consolidation, documentation and route assumptions.

Request a freight review

Sourcing or inspection first

I still need to confirm product or supplier details

Use this path when a sample, supplier question or inspection decision must be settled before freight can be planned.

Quote cost breakdown

Compare the same shipment line by line

This is a planning structure, not a rate card or a promise that every service is available. A written quote should show which components apply to the confirmed request.

Cost componentWhat needs confirmation
China-side pickup or deliveryPickup timing, supplier delivery and the receiving location within the accepted scope.
Receiving and consolidationSupplier count, storage window, cargo condition and physical receiving work.
Optional physical handlingRelabelling, repacking, photos, inspection, bundling or palletising when requested.
Export documents and bookingRequired documents, party responsible for them, and available booking conditions.
International freightMode, route, chargeable weight or volume, carrier assumptions and quote validity.
Destination charges and taxesDelivery, customs, duties, taxes and destination handling responsibilities.

Do not compare freight offers until the cargo, delivery basis, included handling, tax treatment and destination responsibility refer to the same request.

Freight quote preparation checklist

Prepare these details before requesting options

More complete inputs allow the review to focus on the usable route and handling scope instead of basic follow-up questions.

Pickup and supplier details

Provide the pickup city, supplier count and whether each supplier can deliver to a confirmed China-side receiving location.

Cargo information

State the product category, carton count, dimensions, gross weight and any detail that can affect eligibility or handling.

Destination and terms

Provide the delivery city or port, delivery requirement, Incoterm and the party expected to handle import clearance and taxes.

Timing and handling

Include the cargo-ready date, time sensitivity, FBA preparation needs and any labelling, packing or inspection request.

Restricted-cargo review

Declare batteries, liquids, powders, magnets, branded goods, medical items or other regulated products before a supplier dispatches cargo.

Documents available

List the commercial invoice, packing information, labels or product documents already available. Missing documents can change the workable route.

Scope and responsibility

Make the handling boundary explicit

May be coordinated after review

  • Multi-supplier receiving and consolidation
  • Sea, air or express options for approved cargo
  • Labelling, bundling, repacking or palletising when the handling scope is agreed
  • Export-document coordination for a confirmed product and route

Must be confirmed in writing

  • Cargo eligibility, route availability and carrier handling
  • Receiving location, storage window and supplier delivery instructions
  • FBA labels, carton rules, appointment requirements and handover party
  • Incoterm, importer of record, customs responsibility, taxes and destination delivery

Not within standard scope

  • Dangerous goods and cargo without the required approval or documentation
  • Unverified suppliers, cargo or delivery instructions
  • Personal effects and household moves
  • Any service, cost or responsibility not accepted in the written scope

Quote workflow

Four checks before cargo moves

  1. 1

    Send the shipment facts

Start with the supplier, cargo, destination and delivery details that affect eligibility and price.

  2. 2

    Review scope and missing inputs

The request is checked for cargo restrictions, route assumptions, documents and physical-handling requirements.

  3. 3

    Compare usable options

Only available modes and services are compared against the same confirmed cargo and delivery assumptions.

  4. 4

    Approve before cargo moves

The fee basis, included work, exclusions, payee and responsibility boundaries are confirmed in writing before booking.

Freight quote FAQ

Questions to settle before booking

Why is there no fixed freight price on this page?

Freight depends on the current route, cargo eligibility, chargeable weight or volume, destination, delivery requirement and handling scope. A useful quote identifies those assumptions instead of using a headline rate that cannot apply to every shipment.

Can I get a quote before cargo is ready?

Yes. An initial review can identify the information that affects the route and estimate. The booking and final scope still depend on the confirmed cargo, dimensions, documents and cargo-ready date.

Can YunLink receive goods from several suppliers?

Multi-supplier consolidation may be coordinated when the suppliers, cargo, receiving location, timing and handling responsibilities have been reviewed and accepted in writing.

Can the quote include FBA preparation?

FBA handling can be reviewed when the product, destination, current Amazon requirements, labels, carton rules and physical handling scope are supplied. Do not send labels or cargo until the scope is confirmed.

Who is responsible for duties, taxes and customs clearance?

That depends on the Incoterm, importer of record, product and destination. The written quote should state the delivery basis and any customs or tax responsibility.

Ready to prepare a freight quote?

Send the cargo, supplier and destination details you have. The next step is to confirm the workable route, handling scope and responsibility basis in writing.

The service scope, fee basis and responsibilities are confirmed for the individual request before work begins.
